Shanklish

Shanklish is a type of aged cheese or dairy. It is considered one of the most famous Syrian and Lebanese appetizers. It is served cold after adding olive oil, tomatoes and onions to it. It is made from skimmed milk and curdled with heat and salt is added to it in an excessive amount, then it is balled and rolled on red pepper or thyme, and placed under the rays The sun becomes rigid balls, then kept in closed pots. It is usually taken with tea, like other appetizers, and next to it are tomatoes, onions, peppers, cucumbers and mint, and olive oil is added to it.
